(WZZM)- What a weekend full of fun!
Register now for this great opportunity at Saint Cecilia Music Center. It's a handfull of adult music classes geared for every kind of musician at heart.
The first class is called "You Can Sing in a Weekend." It's a beginner classes offering the basics like breathing techniques and exercises that help you match pitch. The class is low-pressure, low-anxiety, conducted in a group singing style. The class takes place NEXT weekend (January 19-20), and involves four sessions: Saturday from 10-noon and again at 2-4 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and again at 6-8:30 p.m. The cost of this class is $175 for all four sessions.
The second class available to you is called "Singing for the Stage." This class offers experienced singers with instruction that helps control skills like volume and diction. This class lasts for four Sundays, starting January 27th and ending on February 24th. The cost of "Singing for the Stage" is $145 for all four sessions.
The last class invites all musical theatre fans to St. Cecilia's "Coming up Roses: Great Musicals of the 1950's." This class will feature guest performers, no singing from the classmates is required! The class will provide a history of American theatre for four Sundays (January 27th- February 24th). The cost is $95 for all four sessions.

Celebrate HopCat's fifth anniversary in Downtown Grand Rapids by heading out to the bar, grabbin' a cold one, and chowin' down on those addictive Crack Fries!
Doors open at 11:30 on Saturday. The new release of the Oil Rigger draft happens at noon, and goes until the tap runs dry. HopCat is also offering wood chip infused alcohol on Saturday, available while supplies last.
A Crack Fry eating contest will start at 3 p.m. If you aren't interested in stuffing your face full of Crack Fries, and you just want a reasonable portion, free orders will be doled out all day with any drink or food purchases.
Finally head to the Lakeshore Saturday night for the 1st Annual ShrEdit Film Fest.
Local snowboarders have submitted personal videos of themselves shredding on the slopes, all in hopes of winning a grand prize.
Saturday's event will showcast the finalists, and the top three winning videos will be selected. You have a chance to watch it all go down in boarding history! The grand prize includes a full snowboarding sponsorship by MACkite Boardsports.
It's all happening at Mulligan's Hollow in Grand Haven. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
