Free Swim Lessons for Students Attending Shawnee, Dickinson, and Mulick Park Schools | News

Grand Rapids Public Schools and Grand Rapids Novi Sad Aquatics are teaming up to offer free swimming lessons to Shawnee, Dickinson, and Mulick Park elementary students. Topics will include water safety, comfort in and around the water, and basic mechanics of swimming.
The lessons will be taught by GRPS and GRNSA’s professional coaching staff including Coach Alex Brinks, a USA State Swimming Champion and Coach Jerron Julien, a Union High School Girls and Boys Varsity coach.
The classes will take place at the Ottawa Hills Natatorium and run from June 11th to July 21st, Monday through Thursday.

Students must bring their own swimsuit with lining, a towel, goggles (optional) and have a ride to and from the lessons.
