GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—A portion of Plainfield Avenue will be free of traffic September 7, as the Creston Car Show rolls back into town for its ninth year.

The event, organized by the Creston Business Association, is free and open to the community.  Visitors are invited to walk down Plainfield Avenue NE and check out a variety of vehicles, including classic, hot rod, antique, muscle and rare models.  Kid-friendly activities will also be available, including Air Hoops.

Ned Rouse will provide a free performance and Red Jet Café will serve up pies for their annual pie eating contest.

The Creston Car Show kicks off at 11 a.m. at 1560 Plainfield Ave. NE.  The event will close out at 3 p.m. with a cruise to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Proceeds from the Creston Car Show will go to local charities.
