Rotary Club of Grand Rapids hosts annual Senior Neighbors Holiday Luncheon | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Thirty Rotarians gathered on Wednesday to serve 175 low-income seniors from all over Kent County at the Rotary Club of Grand Rapids’ annual Senior Neighbors Holiday Luncheon. Members of the Downtown Kent County Senior Neighbors chapter were treated to a delicious lunch, gifts and entertainment as part of a nearly 25-year tradition. The event was made possible by many sponsors and volunteers, including Siegel Jewelers, North Point Christian High School Choir, S. Abraham and Sons, Meijer and several other local businesses.
“The Grand Rapids Rotary Club has always been known for its philanthropy, but this luncheon is one of the most rewarding,” said Coleen Downey, Executive Director of the Rotary Club of Grand Rapids. “Being able to serve and celebrate with such deserving individuals truly expresses what the holidays are really about.”
