Another Good Reason to Improve your Observation Skills | Crime
At the recent Community Engagement Series meeting we talked about how it is easy in everyday life to get caught up in what needs to be accomplished and develop a tunnel vision that cuts off the greater world around us. The following is a great example of why we should take to practice the development of our observation skills in order to illuminate the world that we often are a part of, but fail to see.
In Washington , DC , at a Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007, this man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes.
During that time, approximately 2,000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After about 3 minutes, a middle-aged man noticed that there was a musician playing.
He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds, and then he hurried on to meet his schedule.
